OUR MISSION

To provide support and education to better the quality of life for people with lupus and their families, to promote awareness and understanding of lupus to others and to support research that will improve the diagnosis and treatment of lupus and ultimately discover its cause and cure.

The Lupus Alliance of America, LI/Queens Affiliate was established in 1955 in a small town in Nassau County, one of the first lupus organizations in the country. This group of concerned homemakers raised money and joined together with other groups in the New York area to give money to provide research for this little known illness. The Alliance has grown but our mission remains the same.
