Donor of the Month - Dennis Oehl

December 2005

Every year Dennis Oehl runs a charity golf tournament and auction in memory of his brother, Glen. Each year the money raised is given to a different charity on the Island, usually focusing on children’s charities.

Maggie Walsh, a member of the Alliance suggested to Dennis that this year the money should go to our Let Kids Be Kids Program.

Dennis Oehl and his family thought this was a wonderful idea, and in September invited JoAnn Quinn, the Lupus Alliance’s executive director and Carole-Anne Bonner 16, a patient representative to the Stuart Thomas Manor where they accepted a check for over $5000

With this money we will be able to once again send some of our kids to Camp Sunshine in Maine, and also on fun outings in the local area throughout the year. We send a very special thank you to Maggie Walsh, Dennis Oehl, the Oehl family and everyone who attended the event.
