Disability Exemption for Property Taxes

Below is information on a disability tax exemption for property taxes that you may be eligible for, as well as directions on how to apply and find out more.

This is for Nassau and Suffolk County Residents only. Every town has the same requirements, which are as follows:

  • The disabled person must be on the title/ mortgage
  • The disabled person must make less then $32,4000 a year total household income.
  • Applications must be acquired at your local Town Assessors office.
  • Social Security and Disability income is included in the $32,400 total annual income limits.
